Build a Laundromat

If you are interested in building a laundromat, Midwest Laundries will work with you from the time of your first consultation to well beyond the grand opening. As an authorized IPSO distributor we offer high quality laundry equipment that is efficient and easy to use. Midwest Laundries also carries every ancillary item your business will need such as the new easyPAY kiosk, ESD card systems, R&B wire carts, American and Standard coin changers, soap vending machines, and hot water heaters. Below you will find a 4 phase outline of the services we offer to investors entering the coin laundry business.

Phase 1

1.1 Site and Demographic Analysis

A laundromat is only as great as its location. Careful research of the market helps ensure the success of your business. Our team begins with identifying a suitable location based on factors such as population demographics, competition, visibility, parking, and adjacent businesses.

1.2 Secure Financing

Clients have the option to work with IPSO's finance department to avoid searching for outside funding. Midwest Laundries acts as a liaison between clients and the financial institutions that will fund your laundry business.

1.3 Lease Negotiation

Poor lease terms are one of the top reasons laundromats fail. Midwest Laundries will work directly with clients and landlords to quickly negotiate the best lease for the coin laundry.  Our team has decades of experience in the laundry industry, and will help set up your business to be as profitable as possible.

Phase 2

2.1 Store Planning and Layout

Clients are presented with a preliminary layout that has been designed based on the store's space, the population's needs, and the project budget.

2.2 Hire Contractor and Approve Final Layout

Midwest Laundries helps clients assemble reputable construction crews to complete renovations and build outs. Equipment mix and layout are revised based on investor and contractor input, and a final blueprint is approved.

Phase 3

3.1 Construction & Build-out of the physical space

3.2 Installation of all laundry equipment and ancillary items

3.3 Grand Opening Planning

It is time to begin planning for the store's grand opening once construction is underway and you have a more accurate time table for completion. Our team has participated in hundreds of grand openings and will be available to consult on market development to make sure your store gets off on the right foot.

Phase 4

4.1 Equipment Testing

Midwest Laundries conducts the initial startup just before grand opening so that all machines are functioning properly for your big day.

4.2 Manager and Owner Training

Training is provided to teach basic operation and maintenance procedures for all equipment. Furthermore, we provide new owners with all the supports and knowledge you will need to run your new operation profitably.

4.3 Marketing and Advertising

This is where our team's experience as owners/operators becomes especially beneficial to our clients. Midwest Laundries will work with investors to develop the best marketing strategies for their laundromat.

As a full-service distributor, Midwest Laundries is able to provide support for your business well beyond the grand opening. From equipment and parts sales to our experienced mechanics and technicians, Midwest Laundries provides every laundry-related product and service to ensure your continued success.
